YOGA IMMERSION

For Experienced Practitioners

Yoga Immersion Training Dates and Curriculum

Yoga Immersion training is right for you if you want to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the practice of yoga, if you want to apply yogic principles in your daily life with greater commitment, and you are sure you don’t want to be a teacher.  If you are thinking you might want to teach, we highly recommend taking our yoga teacher training. There are 10 spaces available for the Yoga Immersion. Those completing this program do not receive a certification, but can earn continuing education credits through Yoga Alliance if applicable.   • March 20-21: MYTHS, MANTRAS AND SCIENCE OF SOUND
  • April 4th: AYURVEDA

Reserving your Space for the Yoga Immersion: 

You can choose purchase all 5 dates together for the complete immersion package or you may purchase each individual weekend separately based on your interests. You may register HERE for all training dates.

Cost: Immersion Package

The cost for the complete Immersion package is $1097. Members receive a $100 discount.  Included in the cost of the Immersion package, participants can also choose to come to part the Sunday posture clinics as well. Please let our front desk know in advance if you would like to participate.

YOGIC HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY

  • Study Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and how these teachings provide a very real model that can be applied to daily life
  • Yoga’s origins and journey to the West and the most influential yogis of our time
  • 8 limbs of yoga and core principles of Yogic philosophy

ANATOMY (Physical and energetic)

  • Anatomy and physiology will be studied.
  • Correct physical alignment
  • Learn how to avoid injury in key areas, and how to work with basic injuries
  • Learn the energetic effects of yoga on the body

MEDITATION and Breath Practices (dyana and pranayama)

  • Learn a variety of meditation techniques to focus and quiet the mind.
  • Learn mantra and its benefits
  • Learn various breath practices
  • Learn the benefits of meditation and breath work on the mind and body

Myths Mantras, Mudras and Sanskrit

  • Foundations of the Sanskrit language
  • Yoga Mythology and key yogic tales that shape our understanding of core yogic principles
  • Learn Mantras and Mudras to enhance your practice.

Ayurveda: The sister science of yoga

  • The foundations of Ayurveda and the dosha system

  • How to identify your personal constitution

  • Seasonal practices and lifestyle tips to support digestion, sleep, energy, and emotional well-being

  • Simple self-care rituals to bring harmony to your day

  • Gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation practices aligned with Ayurvedic principles

Postures (Asana) and Physical Practice OPTIONAL

  • Detailed study of key yoga postures 
  • Use of props and other modifications to support the postures
  • Learning to see and understand bodies in terms of proper alignment
  • Understand the physical effects of yoga on the body
